Crass comments on Jeremy Lin put the twit in Twitter - NBA - Sporting News

race runs right to the heart of Lin’s status as a nationwide talking point, and that brings baggage for everybody, whether black, white, Asian or anyone else. Everything about race is awash in complexities. One group’s positives can easily been perceived as another’s negatives, even when all the subtexts are added.

This is not a race-neutral phenomenon, no matter how hard people try to elude that aspect of it.
